The process

Natural fibers are collected

Natural fibers and biodegradable polymer are used in the production of any rigid packaging.

When the packaging is empty, the consumer sorts it for industrial composting*

The fertilizer is used to grow new crops, which are used to make new biodegradable plastic.

The biowaste is shipped to an industrial composting facility, where it is turned into energy and fertilizer.

The fertilizer filled with nutrition is generated from the composting process.

Reduce plastic pollution

Plastic pollution is one of the significant challenges that we are facing regarding sustainable development. Plastic pollution affects nature, wildlife, and human health. Every year plastic pollution results in the death of 1.1 million animals. The average person eats 70,000 particles of microplastics every year, which is a considerable health risk. 

The packaging of products such as personal care, cosmetics, and food is almost always a plastic container, which we throw away when it is empty. The container is made of oil-based plastic, which affects the climate and nature. Worldwide, only 9% of plastic is recycled, and then it can only be recycled two more times, as it subsequently fails to meet industry standards. Of the 91% of the plastic that is not recycled, 12% is sent for incineration, while 79% ends in our oceans and nature.

 

There is a need for a better alternative - and we have that alternative!

Unused natural fibers

Instead of using scarce resources or fossil-based plastic to produce consumer products, we use the potential that natural fibers have and find the usage of materials that are now considered waste.
